How are you meeting the Government Learning Platform targets?

Starz Subscription Costs: £1.50 per pupil!

This means that the cost of the annual subscription to Starz for the year from September 2008 to August 2009 continues at a reduced rate.

This will entitle schools to access not only the core functionality of the DigitalBrain primary tools for individual pupils (text, audio and video email, e-portfolio ‘gallery’, collaborative tools and online storage space), but also the complete Starz service including:

It is a government target that all pupils [aged 5 upwards] have access to a personalised workspace, capable of supporting an e-portfolio, by Spring 2008, which might include:

· communication and collaboration tools e.g. web-based email to enable peer/mentor dialogue;

· safe and secure, individual online learning space for the school workforce and pupils enabling anytime, anywhere learning;

· tools to enable teachers to manage and tailor content to user needs and learning styles, and to track user progress.

Cambridgeshire schools already have a good record in this area. All school staff have had free access to DigitalBrain Learning Manager accounts for 4 years. Many primary and special schools already have pupil subscriptions to the County’s Starz service. Cambridgeshire has again secured the government funding to support roll-out of learning platform accounts for this academic year to all pupils, based on DigitalBrain’s technology.
