Outline:

Starz Detectives is an exciting online role play programme where pupils, under the supervision of their teachers, become 'Starz detectives' using ICT to link with experts from outside agencies (Police, Fire Service, Road Safety) to solve real life scenarios.

Suitable for:

The online role-plays are aimed currently at 9-12 year olds, though some schools have successfully involved younger pupils.

Tools available:

Starz Detectives uses the E-ngage website which specialises in using new interactive technology to provide the online activities.

Activities, training and support:

Subscribers to Starz will be offered the opportunity to take part in 3 Starz Detective activities during 2007/2008. The usual briefing and support will be provided.

Non-subscribing schools will also be able to take part in the activities at a cost of £50 per activity.

Interface upgrade:

The E-ngage interface has been upgraded and can now be accessed at www.engagelive.net
